The Environment and Conservation

Conservation and environmental management are playing an increasingly important part in farming businesses. Our experienced specialist team provide professional advice on all environmental and conservation related matters.

Agri-environmental Schemes

Our advisors can provide professional advice with regard to all government Environmental Schemes, past and present, including Higher Level (HLS) and Entry Level (ELS) Environmental Stewardship and the New Environmental Land Management Scheme (NELMS). Since 2005, we have helped nearly 600 farmers and landowners apply successfully for an Environmental Stewardship agreement. That Scheme is now closed to new entrants. Its replacement, currently known as NELMS, is due to be launched in 2015. Agri_Environmental Schemes

Our advisors can provide professional advice on all aspects of woodland management. We offer a number of services, including woodland surveys, preparing management plans, grant applications, submitting felling licences, engaging and overseeing contractors, marketing timber, purchase and sale of woodlands and the creation of new woodlands. We appreciate that woodlands represent different things to different people and devise management strategies in consultation with our clients to achieve their desired outcomes, whether those be conservation, recreation, amenity, sporting or purely commercial timber production. Basic Payment Scheme (BPS)

All our Environmental Advisors make Basic Payment Scheme claims for a range of clients. BPS is becoming increasingly intertwined with environmental schemes; having an agent who knows both can be invaluable. We can ensure your BPS claims are compatible with your environmental options to avoid any problems with RPA cross-checks. Basic Payment Scheme
